Cancellation & Attendance Policy.

At Believe In U, we understand that unexpected circumstances can arise and that occasionally you may need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. We kindly ask that you provide as much notice as possible so we can offer your appointment time to another client who may be waiting for support.

Appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled by contacting us on (07) 5211 1677 or by emailing admin@believeinu.com.au during business hours.

Cancellation Notice

We require a minimum of 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

Where less than 24 hours' notice is provided, or where an appointment is missed without notice, a cancellation fee equal to 100% of the scheduled appointment fee will apply.

Cancellation fees are payable prior to booking any future appointments.

Late Arrivals

If you arrive late to your appointment, your session will still conclude at the scheduled finish time to minimise disruption to other clients.

Where a client arrives too late for the appointment to proceed safely or meaningfully, the appointment may be considered a late cancellation and the cancellation fee may apply.

Third-Party Funded Services

Please note that cancellation and non-attendance fees are generally not covered by Medicare, WorkCover, Compulsory Third Party (CTP) insurers, the Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA), and private health insurers.

Where a cancellation fee is incurred, the fee remains the responsibility of the client unless otherwise agreed in writing.

WorkCover & CTP Clients

If your sessions are funded by WorkCover or a Compulsory Third Party (CTP) insurer, non-attendance and late cancellation fees are not payable by the insurer. Where an appointment is missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, the full appointment fee will be charged directly to you.

Psychological Assessments

Assessment appointments often involve significant preparation, administration and reserved appointment time.

Where assessment appointments are cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, the full appointment fee may apply. Any assessment deposits paid will be managed in accordance with your assessment agreement.

Exceptional Circumstances

We recognise that genuine emergencies and unforeseen circumstances can occur. Believe In U reserves the right to waive or reduce cancellation fees at its discretion after considering the individual circumstances.

Our Commitment to You

If your clinician needs to cancel or reschedule your appointment due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, we will notify you as soon as possible and work with you to arrange an alternative appointment at the earliest available opportunity.
