Our Process & Fee Breakdown

  • This session is an important first step in the assessment process. It allows your psychologist to gain a comprehensive understanding of the individual’s developmental history, current presentation, and areas of concern.

    (For children, this session is completed with a parent/guardian. For adults, this is completed as an individual session.)

    This includes:

    • Developmental history (including childhood presentation)

    • Attention, focus, and executive functioning

    • Emotional regulation and behavioural patterns

    • Social communication and interaction

    • Functioning across home, school, work, and social environments

    A structured clinical interview may be used (e.g., ADI-R or similar).

    Duration: 50 Mintes

    Mode: In Clinic (Bundall) or via Telehealth if preferred

  • Standardised questionnaires are used to gather information across multiple settings and perspectives.

    Completed by:

    • Self-report (for adults)

    • Parents/guardians (for children)

    • Teachers (strongly recommended for children)

    • Additional collateral (e.g., partner or family member — recommended for adults where possible)

    These may assess:

    • ADHD symptoms

    • Autism traits

    • Behavioural and emotional functioning

    • Executive functioning

    • Adaptive and daily living skills

  • Structured assessment sessions are conducted to evaluate both Autism and ADHD presentations.

    Session Structure:

    • Typically 2–3 sessions (50 or 90 minutes each)

    • May extend to 3–4 sessions depending on individual needs (e.g., complexity or non-verbal presentations)

    Assessment components may include:

    • Autism Assessment: ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule)

    • Cognitive Assessment: (e.g., WISC-V for children or WAIS-IV for adults), where clinically indicated

    • Attention & Executive Functioning Assessment

    • Functional Assessment: Adaptive functioning (e.g., ABAS-3), sensory processing, and daily living skills

    Mode: In Clinic (Bundall)

  • Your psychologist will prepare a comprehensive report integrating all assessment data.

    The report includes:

    • Diagnostic outcomes (ADHD, Autism, both, or neither)

    • Clinical formulation aligned with DSM-5-TR criteria

    • Consideration of differential diagnoses

    • Functional impact across life domains (home, school, work, social)

    • Strengths and challenges profile

    • Individualised recommendations

    Duration: 6 hours
    Mode: Completed by psychologist (no client involvement required)

  • In this session, your psychologist will review the assessment results in a clear, supportive, and practical way.

    This includes:

    • Explanation of findings and diagnostic outcomes

    • Opportunity to ask questions

    • Personalised recommendations and next steps

    • Practical strategies to support the individual

    For children, this includes guidance for parents and supports across home and school.
    For adults, this includes guidance for work, study, and daily functioning.

    As part of this session, your psychologist will also provide individualised support planning to help translate the assessment outcomes into meaningful next steps.
