In Practice & OnlineTaking the first step toward understanding whether ADHD might be part of your journey is an important decision, and we want you to know that we’re here to make this process as smooth and
supportive as possible.
At Believe In U, we are committed to providing a compassionate and thorough approach to ADHD assessments that puts you at the centre of everything we do. Our Process & Fee Breakdown-
Our ADHD pre-screening process is designed to offer clients a supportive, informative, and empowering first step in understanding their symptoms and exploring whether a formal diagnosis may be appropriate.
The session includes a 50-minute online session with one of our experienced psychologists, where they explore your experiences, challenges, and history in a safe and collaborative space.
Following your session, you’ll receive a personalised report outlining key insights, clinical interpretations, and tailored recommendations to help guide your next steps — whether that’s pursuing a formal diagnosis, therapy, or other support options.
This process is here to help you seek clarity, direction, and understanding — all without the pressure of committing to a full diagnostic process right away.
Fee: $320 including report

If an ADHD assessment is recommended following your pre-screening and you choose to proceed with the diagnostic process, the next step involves a comprehensive 2-hour clinical interview with one of our experienced psychologists. This session forms a foundational part of the assessment and is designed to gain a deep understanding of your personal history and current challenges.
During this interview, your psychologist will explore a range of areas including your developmental background, education and work history, social relationships, mental health history, and daily functioning.

This component involves the administration of evidence-based psychological tests and standardised questionnaires to assess for symptoms consistent with ADHD. These tools help evaluate key domains such as attention, impulsivity, hyperactivity, executive functioning, emotional regulation, and adaptive behaviour.
The process typically includes self-report and/or close family member (e.g., parent or partner) questionnaires, as well as cognitive and behavioural screening measures where appropriate. This component is self-paced and completed in your own time.

After gathering all assessment data, your psychologist will analyse the findings and compile a comprehensive report. This document outlines key observations, assessment results, and clinical impressions.
If traits consistent with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) are identified, the report will clearly outline the evidence supporting this, along with how symptoms present across different settings.
In addition to diagnostic clarification, the report will provide tailored, practical recommendations. These may include strategies for managing symptoms at home or in the workplace; suggestions for
environmental or behavioural accommodations; and recommendations for further support, such as therapy or medical consultation if appropriate.

In your final 50 minute session, your psychologist will review the assessment results with you. During this collaborative discussion, they will explain the key findings, clarify any diagnostic outcomes, and ensure you have a clear understanding of what the results mean in the context of your daily life.
This session is an opportunity to ask questions, explore any concerns, and receive personalised feedback tailored to your individual needs. Your psychologist will also provide practical, evidence- based strategies to help manage identified challenges, enhance strengths, and support overall
wellbeing.
The aim of this session is to empower you with a clear path forward, grounded in insight and practical steps, so you feel supported and informed moving ahead.
